We opted to self drive since we had a camper van and stayed at electric site at Milford Lodge (also highly recommend) and we’re glad we drove. The buses look nice and we heard you get commentary for the drive but we tend to get car sick and would have been miserable on that windy road. The drive itself wasn’t bad to do at all in mid Nov.
